@jhaapako, yes, the UK mobile operators do charge to receive calls from a roaming mobile, but that's roaming and the SMS from Jaiku isn't from a roaming account, so I was wondering if the same charges would apply?

I am a resident in the UK, and when my friends go on holday to France or Spain, and they make a roaming call to me, we both get charged (yes, it is a rip off). I don't know (and not suprisingly the Orange website isn't very helpfull on the matter) if someone who isn't roaming, but lives in a different country sends me an SMS, do i still get charged?

From the same country you don't, no, but you get charged for receiving calls from foreign countries, so before I switch SMS notification on I just thought I'd check the same didn't apply to SMS.
